Strawberry Bacon Jam

Nobody likes to throw away produce, if you are wondering what to do with those ripe strawberries in the fridge, we have you covered. This Strawberry Bacon Jam is the ultimate sandwich topper, be it burgers, lunchmeat, or a crazy PBJ. You can also top off a great pork chop or chicken breast. Best part? This one is only going to take you about 15 minutes. ⁠

Triple Trouble, Beet-B-Q, Dad Bod, Twelve Bar Bluebs

What You Need

  • 1/2 pound of chopped strawberries⁠

  • 1 cup of diced yellow onion⁠

  • 5 or 6 strips of thick cut bacon, crumbled⁠

  • 1 tsp balsamic vinegar⁠

  • 2 tsp Triple Trouble Rub (you can use our Dad Bod, Twelve Bar Bluebs or Beet-B-Q for a less spicy jam)⁠

  • 1 tsp sugar⁠

What To Do

  • Cook your bacon so that it is nice and crispy, set it aside for now.

  • Save some of the bacon grease and use it to saute your onions.

  • When the onions become translucent, add your strawberries, Triple Trouble, balsamic, and a tsp of water.

  • Cook until the strawberries begin to become mushy and and the color deepens.

  • Turn the heat off and add your sugar and crumbled bacon.

  • Stir until everything comes together.

  • Makes about a cup of jam, should be good for a week in the fridge.⁠
